Description
When Iris by Lowes shut down, I started looking for a do-it-yourself replacement. After extensive research, I narrowed it down to Smartthings, and Hubitat Elevation. I have never regretted my decision to go with Hubitat Elevation. It is incredibly flexible, easy to use, and has a great community. You may find users that complain the user interface is old or ugly, and they are absolutely right; however, the hub works well which is what I care about.
Hubitat Elevation has:

- Active Community
- Local Control and Processing
- Broad Compatibility
- Ongoing Feature Releases
There is a more advanced C-8 Pro model if you have some seriously complex automations, but I think you would be hard pressed to max out the capabilities of this device.
